Film Screening of "Manufactured Landscapes" will be held by CLEAN at the Rice Media Center on June 18th at 7:00 pm as part of its 2008 Environmental Film Series. The film follows still photographer Edward Burtynsky on a tour of Asia with large-format stills of industrial landscapes exploring the relationships of nature and progress. The Houston Audubon Society is requesting donations of old Field Guides to be used for classes to help young birders improve their skills. The Guides can be dropped off at the Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary of the Sims Bayou Urban Nature Center. See www.houstonaudubon.org

An Adopt-A-Bird program is being conducted by the Houston Audubon Society to find sponsors for its educational birds used in special school programs. Sponsors will be helping with the expenses of food and care for these ambassador birds who are making impacts at schools across Texas. All sponsors will receive a 5"x7" photo of the adopted bird and an "adoption" certificate. www.houstonaudubon.org

Urban Harvest's Bayou City Farmers' Market will have its 4th Annual Tomato Fest on Sunday, June 21 and Saturday, June 28 from 8 am to noon. The market is located in the back parking lot at 300 Richmond. See www.urbanharvest.org.

EcoCamp is a day camp conducted for 4 to 13 year olds by the Armand Bayou Nature Center that offers a variety of activities. These may include fishing, seining, canoe rides and pontoon boat rides.
